It's a total throwback to the 1980's and previous generations where that sort of thing HAD to be incorporated into the storyline from what I remember reading. It was actually some federal regulation from what I remember.

I won't deny some of them are ones that can certainly help and if a popular children's cartoon can help inform children of key important issue that is a good thing.
