Arriving in the long-abandoned town of Springfield, Clutch drives Lady Jaye and Gung-Ho through the streets filled with half destroyed cars. As they approach Video World, they see a Cobra Stinger and a brand new style of H.I.S.S. tank. Inside Video World, Chuckles is tied to a chair, a Viper is soaking a phone book in water and another Viper is taunting him. Chuckles keeps wisecracking back at them. He is hit with the wet phonebook and they hear gunfire from outside.

Clutch has taken evasive action as Gung-Ho and Lady Jaye converge on the Vipers outside Video World. Clutch gets the H.I.S.S. tank to chase him in the V.A.M.P. Lady Jaye fires one of her power lances that blows up the Stinger. Gung-Ho blows open the door to Video World knocking down one of the guards. Chuckles kicks the nearest Viper in the groin as he is distracted by the explosion.

Gung-Ho and Lady Jaye rescue Chuckles, who quickly pulls a gun from Lady Jaye's pistol holster and shoots the Viper that was interrogating him. That Viper had a hidden gun and he was about to shoot Lady Jaye.

Later after Wild Bill lands the C-130 just outside the main ramp to The Pit, Chuckles is passed through security and into the main interrogation room. He is joined by Duke, Stalker, Psyche-Out and Roadblock. But when they open the cell they discover Storm Shadow is missing. They call for a general alert and begin scanning for Storm Shadow. He is easily found eating a meal in the cafeteria. Law & Order track him down but can't believe what is sitting next to Storm Shadow. That item sitting next to him is the remote detonator to destroy The Pit. He gives it over to Law as soon he is asked.

In Cobra's Silent Castle, Dr. Mindbender has discovered that the Joes have reopened The Pit. The C-130 tracks are the clue cause they just disappeared underground. Cobra Commander isn't sure what he can do with this information. Then Dr. Midbender asks about sending Snake-Eyes back at the Joes. Cobra Commander loves the idea. The brainwashed Snake-Eyes prepares to go to The Pit.
