Arbco is a front company Cobra uses as a cover for many of its terrorist activities. Arbco apparently pre-dates Cobra itself[1] and is probably connected to Cobra's household cleaning product pyramid scheme based out of Springfield.

Known Arbco subunits include:

  • Arbco Furniture Company is based out of Springfield, Vermont and serves as a front for Cobra's plague toxin testing facilities.
  • Arbco Moving and Storage appears to be a legitimate moving and storage company.
  • Arbco Brothers Circus is used by Cobra to move weapons and equipment across the country.
  • Arbco Moving provides Cobra Commander with a mobile office.

Fiction[]

A Real American Hero comics continuity[]

A group of G.I. Joes went to investigate possible Cobra activity in the town of Springfield, Vermont. A scouting party reported that the town itself looked normal, but the Arbco Furniture Factory on the outskirts of town aroused their suspicion, since they noticed that "Arbco" is an anagram of "Cobra." During the ensuing battle with Cobra, Hawk thought the factory was getting ready to launch a ballistic missile and ordered it destroyed. It turns out it was launching a rocket plane carrying Cobra Commander and the Baroness who just barely escaped the explosion.[2]

An Arbco semi truck served as a mobile dining room for Cobra's top agents. Other Arbco semi trucks transported the H.I.S.S. tanks that raided the US Treasury building.[3]

Arbco Moving and Storage moved Fred Broca's family into their new home on Staten Island near the entrance to Fort Wadsworth. Interestingly, the movers were unaware they were carrying in boxes of assault rifles and high-tech electronics for the Brocas' survellience assignment from Cobra. Later, Arbco Brothers Circus semi trucks transported the H.I.S.S. tanks and F.A.N.G.s Cobra used to attack McGuire Air Force Base.[4]

An Arbco Moving semi truck served as Cobra Commander's mobile office where he met with Zartan and the Dreadnoks.[5]

Ripcord, Gung-Ho, Blowtorch, and Candy Appel were led into a trap at an Arbco Brothers Circus.[6]
