In the Sea of Ice, a radioactive Snake-Eyes is rescued from a polar bear by the Blind Hermit. Taking the Joe back to his home, the hermit treats him with a poultice of herbs to remove the radiation. When Snake-Eyes has recovered, the hermit sends him and Timber on their way with the canister of crystals.The Worms of Death

-The Joes head to the Sea of Ice, to find the first of the three elements, the radio active crystals. [[Major Bludd]] is waiting for the Joes, trapping them in a cave with between Cobra's S.N.A.K.E.s and toxic gas. They destroy the S.N.A.K.E.s, but before they can leave with the crystals, they set off toxic gas. [[Snake-Eyes_(RAH)|Snake-Eyes]] lowers a radioactive shield, trapping himself, but allowing the Joes to escape safely. [[Major Bludd]] goes into the cave to get the radioactive crystals, Snake Eyes is freed, but is radioactive. The Cobras allow him to escape into the wilderness, thinking he will die. During this time [[Snake-Eyes_(RAH)|Snake-Eyes]] finds and frees the wolf that would become his companion [[Timber]]. [[Snake-Eyes_(RAH)|Snake-Eyes]] finds himself in the path of a polar bear. Suffering from fatigue and radiation sickness, he is thrown like a ragdoll and passes out. He is rescued and cured of his sickness by a Blind Hermit.
