History[]

Upon arriving at the Arashikage Castle, Snake Eyes is introduced to both Blind Master and Hard Master by Tomisaburo "Tommy" Arashikage, the heir apparent of the Arashikage Clan. He tells Snake Eyes that from them, he will learn how to fight, and kill when necessary, but most importantly, the Arashikage mindset. He explains that this includes abandoning ego and striking with honor, for selflessness and truthfulness will lead to harmony. Later, Snake Eyes sees Hard Master seemingly watching him and asks Akiko, the castle security guard about it. She replies that Hard Master isn't watching him, but Blind Master is, and it's said he knows a liar when he hears one.

Blind Master in the Forest

Blind Master in the forest

The Blind Master administers the second test of the Three Challenges of the Warrior. He leads Snake Eyes into a forest, telling him that every warrior has a weakness their enemy can exploit. He tells him that to avoid harm, you must learn how you harm yourself, but that most can't manage and fail. He releases a light, which Snake Eyes follows, leading him into a vision. In the vision, Snake Eyes encounters a vision of his past, when his father was killed. He apologizes for not being able to save him, but his father tells him that he couldn't help it, he was only a kid. He tells him that he saved himself, the only thing that mattered to him. Back in the forest, Snake Eyes asks Blind Master if he passed, but Blind Master tells him it's not a test that you simply pass or fail, rather a mirror to reveal your weakness. He warns Snake Eyes that he must unburden himself or he will never pass the third challenge.

Later, when Kenta and his forces attack the castle, Blind Master is part of the team that helps to defend it.
