Christopher Collins (better known by his stage name Chris Latta; August 30, 1949 - June 12, 1994) was an American actor and a former stand-up comic, who had an extensive list of voice acting credits. He is probably best known as the voice of Cobra Commander from the Sunbow and DIC produced GI Joe cartoons, and Starscream from the Transformers. Other voice-acting projects include Star Blazers, Inhumanoids, Visionaries: Knights of the Magical Light and The Simpsons (the original voice of Mr. Burns and Moe the Bartender).
Latta's involvement with G.I. Joe began with the TV commercial for "Tanks" for the Memories in 1982, where he played Cobra Commander,[1] although the voice he used evolved considerably over the years.
