- Cross-Country is a G.I. Joe character from the A Real American Hero series.
Cross-Country's parents were both blue-collar workers who operated heavy machinery in the mountains of Appalachia. From there, he developed a natural affinity for driving big machines and finding the best safest routes to keep tracked vehicles from getting stuck in mud pits and sinkholes. Cross-Country might be rough around the edges but you can count on him to keep his head on level during a firefight. Just make sure you don't mistake him for a hillbilly, he's a redneck and proud of it.
