The D.E.M.O.N. is an Iron Grenadier vehicle from the A Real American Hero series.
Vehicle Profile[]
The D.E.M.O.N. is the backbone of Destro's Iron Grenadier army and its primary battlefield assault and offensive weapon. Designed by Destro himself as an initiation of the faction that divorced itself from Cobra's organization, the D.E.M.O.N. along with the A.G.P. and Destro's own Despoiler Air Chariot lead the charge against either the Joes or Cobra.
Dual Elevating Multi-Ordinance Neutralizer composes the D.E.M.O.N. acronym and suitably it describes this treaded combat vehicle bristling with offensive firepower. The vehicle consisted of a three-man crew to manage drive, fire and communications control. The primary driver was known as Ferret. D.E.M.O.N.'s armament included two triple-barreled high intensity laser cannons that could pivot horizontally and rotate for maximum battlefield range. Assisting these were a solar spotlight array and six anti-personnel anti-aircraft missiles.
D.E.M.O.N.s were designed to be deployed by phalanx on the battlefield and their unique elevating system could raise the chassis up to 8 feet above the vehicle's resting ground level. Four treads operated in sync to navigate the terrain, stabilized by a custom suspension system. The armored cockpit and upper chassis offered little protection from behind but a fleet of these tracked juggernauts could easily clear its path leaving little resistance for the remaining A.G.P. aircraft to clean up. As an added bonus, Destro's Chariot could alight atop the left side laser array to survey the battlefield.
