Ed Gilbert (June 29, 1931 - May 8, 1999) was a voice actor who is best known for playing General Hawk on Sunbow's Real American Hero series.
Other credits have included Disney's Talespin (he took over the role of Baloo from original voice actor Phil Harris for the series), Captain Planet and the Planeteers, and Transformers (Blitzwing, Thrust and Superion)

- Ed Gilbert was one of the few actors to move from the Sunbow Joe series to the DIC Joe series; he joined Morgan Lofting (Baroness), Chris Latta (Cobra Commander, 1st season only), Sgt. Slaughter and Jerry Houser (Sci-Fi) in doing so.
