Original material[]

Dummy Run![]

At half past six on a Sunday morning Flint, Lady Jaye and Heavy Metal are on Salisbury Plain taking the Mauler to the gunnery ranges to test "a new, laser-guided anti-helicopter round". They pass a hippy hiker who then produces a radio and signals for two F.A.N.G. helicopters to attack. The Mauler comes under fire with no cover available, but Heavy Metal decides to test the new round and fires, destroying one helicopter, However the other fires on the tank and Flint and Lady Jaye dive for cover. The tank is still functional and Heavy Metal waits for the F.A.N.G. to get close, pretending the tank has malfunctioned, then shoots the helicopter down. Nearby the hippy watches it all through a pair of binoculars and is pleased as the new round will be of interest to Cobra. All he needs to do is acquire a sample for the designers at M.A.R.S. to copy and manufacture and he can sell hundreds to Cobra Commander, who will no doubt also want to buy two new F.A.N.G.s. As he finishes changing his clothes, Destro laughs!
