Snake-Eyes prowls the Cobra citadel.
Detailed summary
Recon by Fire
The Joes encounter yet another B.A.T. on Cobra Island, but Snake Eyes swiftly defeats it. Duke comes to understand that a rift has developed between Cobra and Firefly, which may provide them with an opportunity.
Meanwhile, Firefly and his ninjas take refuge within the citadel, biding their time and planning an ambush on the unsuspecting Joes.
Duke decides to send Snake Eyes into the citadel on a solo mission. As Snake Eyes battles through another B.A.T. and a handful of ninjas, he finally reaches the room where Firefly lies in wait. Unbeknownst to Snake Eyes, Firefly, Slice, Dice, and several ninjas are concealed beneath the floorboards.
However, Snake Eyes' keen senses detect their presence, and he pierces the floor with his sword, injuring Slice's hand.
With the discovery of blood on his sword, Snake Eyes prepares for a confrontation by unlocking the safety on his Uzi.
This provokes Firefly to launch his attack. In response, Snake Eyes uses his Uzi to signal the Joes for assistance. Firefly commands Slice, Dice, and B.A.T.s to confront Roadblock, Lady Jaye, and Duke.
Duke counters by throwing a smoke grenade, allowing his team to slip underwater and evade the B.A.T.s' detection. Slice and Dice continue their pursuit, venturing deeper into the swamp.
Back in the citadel, Firefly assembles the Scorpion formation with the help of several Red Ninjas. This secret battle tactic, originating from the Arashikage clan, may prove to be a formidable challenge for the Joes, as they must face both their enemies' cunning and their own limits in order to prevail.
