G.I. Joe: Cobra is the third G.I. Joe comic published by IDW. It was a four-issue 2009 miniseries that details the status quo of Cobra for the continuity by IDW as Joe member Chuckles spies on the threat. The story was written by Christos Gage and Mike Costa and art by Antonio Fuso. The covers were illustrated by Howard Chaykin.[1]

The title of each issue's story is the second half of a phrase that typically begins with the word "Snake":

At SDCC '09, a followup miniseries was announced. Titled Cobra II, the series was released in 2010.[2] The theme naming continued:
