G.I. Joe: Ever Vigilant is an announced future G.I. Joe film release, intended as the third and final installment of the G.I. Joe live-action film series and a sequel to G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra and G.I. Joe: Retaliation. It is entirely dedicated to Chris Latta, the original voice of Cobra Commander. This title was originally slated to release on March 27, 2020, a date that was later given to the film Snake Eyes: G.I. Joe Origins prior to that film's being postponed in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.

It will star Dwayne Johnson as Roadblock, Bruce Willis as Joe Colton, Rachel Nichols as Scarlet, and Willem Dafoe as Cobra Commander (replacing Joseph Gordon-Levitt). Ray Park announced that he was not returning as Snake Eyes, because he feels that without Storm Shadow, Snake Eyes would have no reason to appear.

The film's plot was originally announced as follows: A new team of G.I. Joes is assembled as they try to stop the Paoli brothers from launching a WMD based on dark matter that will turn their targets into dust.

At this time, however, it is unclear how the film's plot may be affected by the new continuity featured in the Snake Eyes film, or if the film will even be released at all. Producer Lorenzo Di Bonaventura stated in an interview regarding Snake Eyes that a few different scripts remain in development.[1]
