Jon Chu is an American film director and screenwriter of Chinese descent who directed G.I. Joe: Retaliation.

Chu is best known for directing the two Step Up series Step Up 2 the Streets and Step Up 3D and Justin Bieber: Never Say Never and both writing and directing The Legion of Extraordinary Dancers.
