The mercenary known as Kwinn works for some of the most despicable people on earth. The kind of people you say wouldn't even know the slightest idea what scruples are. And yet, Kwinn holds a strict code of honor that urges him to keep his word and maintain his part of the bargain. Even if he feels that he may be on the erring side, he will complete his job and take his payment. After that, it's anybody's guess.

Over the years, Kwinn worked for many security agencies that included the C.I.A., the KGB and MI-6. His language skills include proficiency in eight languages and at least three Inuit dialects. His weapon of choice is a belt-fed air-cooled .30 caliber machine gun.

The man who whips a dog will pull his own sled someday...

—Kwinn

The Joes first encountered Kwinn stealing records and a fear-inducing frequency modulator from a Russian research station in the Arctic. He was hired by the Russians to remove any evidence of their experiments. The mercenary proved to be too smart for the Joes but he respected his foes' skills and admitted how he hated taking this assignment for he detests how people use fear as a weapon. He eventually found a way for the Joes to obtain the modulator from the Russians without breaking his contract.[1]

Trivia

  • Kwinn's name was inspired by the song "The Mighty Quinn," written by Bob Dylan, but made famous by Manfred Mann.
  • The G2 Cobra character Ghost Bear is Kwinn's son.
  • Kwinn and Destro have apparently met at some point in the past, as Destro repeats Kwinn's "a man who whips his dog..." motto when Zartan wants to shoot Junkyard. He further confirms this by saying that an old Eskimo told him this.
