New York City has been twice the target of Cobra for annihilation in a bid to demonstrate the power of the MASS Device. Both attempts have been foiled. The first one was foiled by the slave girl, Selina, by sabotaging the machine's transformer.[1] The second attempt was countered by the Joe Team when they used their own MASS machine to send a beam to neutralize the one sent by Cobra.[2]
