Polly would often repeat commands, as well as nautical terms. Polly learned sailing songs from Shipwreck, and was prone to including Shipwreck's name in them. Because of Polly's irritating behavior, Shipwreck would often leave him back home while away on missions. (SM 1, SM 27, YB 2)

Devil's Due comic continuity

Polly dreams he's the leader of the P.E.T.S. (Primal Emergency Tactical Squad), a sub-team of G.I. Joe composed of all the Joes' pets. In the dream, they save Shipwreck from Crystal Ball.

Polly was first seen in the Pyramid of Darkness arc, where he manages to cancel the spike and saw trap he, Shipwreck, Snake-Eyes, and Timber were caught in by reciting the pass-phrase at the Cube factory.

He is later copied during Shipwreck's torture session in "There's No Place Like Springfield."

He leads orphan girl Jenny to Shipwreck, who Zartan tied up in "Once Upon a Joe."

His last appearance is in "Glamour Girls".

Behind the scenes

  • Polly has made his way into the toyline for G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra, packaged with Shipwreck. Neither Polly nor Shipwreck appeared in the actual film, but were featured in the EA videogame.
