- The R.T.V. is a G.I. Joe vehicle from the A Real American Hero comics continuity.
The R.T.V. is a specially designed vehicle. For a vehicle of its size, it is surprisingly light yet strong enough to haul a jet plane. One of its main feature is its ability to be easily flown in for insertion missions. The R.T.V. components can be easily airdropped and assembled on the spot. The heaviest of the components can be lifted by six people. Much of the body is made of plastic, aluminum and foam composite and very little steel. The composite is strong enough to keep bullets from puncturing and damaging the engine. There is a relatively strong crane in the back of the control section. Its main armaments are a pair of gun turrets on top of the command section and another pair below.

The one and only time the RTV was used is in the mission to extract a downed Russian spy plane in Afghanistan. Its components are airdropped and with the joint effort of both the Joes and Afghan rebels, they were able to assemble it in less than thirty minutes. It was used to transport the plane and on its way to the Joes' extraction point but is ambushed by the Oktober Guard.[1] Cobra interceded and took the RTV and the spy plane. A joint effort between the Joes and the Guard enabled them to track it to Iran and steal it back from Cobra.[2]
