While visiting Brighton Beach in Brooklyn, NY, Snake-Eyes, Storm Shadow, and Billy come across the Arashikage clan symbol painted on the window of a Dojo. After a quick test of skills, the Dojo master Sensei Boris reveals the lineage of his school. It was founded by the Middle Master who trained other prisoners while he was incarcerated in a Russian gulag. One of those fellow prisoners was Boris' father. Boris has carried on what his father taught to a new generation in the US.[1]

At one point the Blue Ninja were students of this dojo. However, their embracement of technological enhancements caused a rift that would lead them to all out war with the Russian Ninjas.
