- The Sky Hawk is a G.I. Joe vehicle from the A Real American Hero series.
Vehicle profile[]
The Sky Hawk is a short range VTOL craft that is armed with a double barreled 20mm cannon mounted under the fuselage, and two 20mm Vulcan cannons. Its armament also includes two Sidewinder air-to-surface missiles. Propulsion comes from twin rotating turbofan engines. Navigation is aided by a horizontal airfoil and two stationary wind deflection panels.
The Sky Hawk was used for short range reconnaissance and escort missions. Because of its lightweight profile and versatile nature the vehicle can be used to traverse any environment and provides excellent support when accompanying heavier artillery or air superiority forces.

Re-uses/re-makes[]
- One version of the Sky Hawk came in the Sears exclusive Dreadnok Air Assault set, another was painted with chrome to make it part of the Skyforce. The toy was then sold as a 2005 convention exclusive bagged set. The Sky Hawk was then made to fit the more articulated Generation 3 figures. As part of the "Pursuit of Cobra" line of toys, the Sky Hawk has remolded VTOL engines, clear red window and instead of two missiles, there is a chain gun and missile launcher. This set, however, is called the Ghost Hawk (2010), and not the Sky Hawk. The 2012 Ghost Hawk was even more different, as it is more like a conventional jet. The 2014 Ghost Hawk, however, is similar to the Sky Hawk, but with blue windows and an arctic camo paint job.

- The vehicle closely resembles the 1970s prototype VTOL concept vehicle, Garrett STAMP (Small Tactical Aerial Mobility Platform).
