The Slugger is a G.I. Joe vehicle from the A Real American Hero series.

The Slugger was introduced in the U.S. in 1984 featuring a green camoflage paint scheme and solid dark green movable parts consisting of, raisable cannon, engine trap door, and brace scoop. The Thunder action figure was included in the package along with a mounted machine gun, range scope, and removable helmet.

While on a mission in Benzheen to stop Cobra Commander from taking over the oil fields, Thunder was captured by Tomax and Xamot where he was unsaramoniously thrown in a pit with other Joes. Due to a confused order by Cobra Commander, a saw viper proceeded to eliminat them using a chain fed high powered rifle. Thunder was shot in the back and died while sheilding Duke with his own body. This occured in Marvel Comics issue 109.
