Soundwave is the communications officer of the Decepticons, the evil faction of Transformers from the planet Cybertron. He also is one of the most trusted Decepticons, and has loyally served Shockwave, Megatron and other Decepticon leaders, not mentioned due to their lack of interaction with G.I. Joe.
