A Real American Hero (1987)
Starduster was first available as a mail-in exclusive from G.I. Joe Action Stars Cereal in 1987. In 1988, he was available as a mail-in offer from Hasbro Direct. After three years and several variants, he was discontinued in 1991. Appearance: black hair; short-sleeved, open-collared light blue shirt with beige strap or holster; grey gloves and boots; light blue pants with green camouflage; black belt and boots Accessories: light blue "Breaker" helmet with star on front; black visor (a repaint of the 1982 clear visors); green J.U.M.P. jet pack; silver "Gung-Ho" grenade launcher. Variations: At least three variations of Starduster are known to exist, based on the torso and waist used for the figure (see below). | |

The figure includes a Steel Corps helmet, visored helmet, binoculars, 4 alternate hands, knife, J.U.M.P. jetpack with 2 removable blast effects, and 3 weapon accessories. It comes packaged inside a special Action Mission Box. |
