Valor vs Venom[]

In the first Valor vs Venom mini comic, Zartan deploys a unit of Swamp Rats to attack Joes in a crashed plane, that was downed in a swamp. The Swamp Rats were undeterred by the swamp elements.

Dawn of the V-Troop[]

In the second Valor vs Venom mini comic, Dawn of the V-Troops, the Swamp Rats snuck into the secret Joe base via the sewer, in order to free the imprisoned Sand Scorpions. Then the combined Swamp Rat and Sand Scorpion troops overwhelmed the Joes on the base, until Snake Eyes and Kamakura showed up to rescue them with the V-Troops antidote.

A yellow version of Swamp Rat was released in the G.I. Joe vs Cobra toy line in a 2-pack with Alpine.
