W.O.R.M.S. are Cobra characters from the A Real American Hero series.

Weapons Ordnance Rugged Machine Specialists (W.O.R.M.S.) are the artillery specialists of the Cobra ground forces. Trained to man any position on a Maggot, be it driver, gunner, loader or even diesel mechanic. A four man team can be completely self efficient out in the battle field but even a two man team can successfully do the job.

W.O.R.M.S. A Real American Hero (1987)

W.O.R.M.S. were released as part of the 1987 series of A Real American Hero toys, packaged exclusively with the Maggot. They were also sold in 1988, and were discontinued domestically in 1989.


Appearance: brown face mask; brown jacket over yellow shirt; medals and black strap diagonal across chest; yellow gloves; brown pants with black belt and boots; yellow kneepads

Accessories: brown helmet with black eyes and face grill; short, brown antenna attaching to helmet.

Trivia[]

  • The W.O.R.M.S.' filecard says that the Maggot usually operates with a crew of four, but can get by with just two. Of course, the toy actually only included one.
  • Working names included "Crabs," "Roaches," "Slugs" and "Grubs."[2]
