Notes[]
Animation and Technical Errors[]
- While in the M.O.B.A.T., Flint is wearing a green shirt. It changes back to black in subsequent scenes.
- Destro's gauntlets are animated with thumbnails as he closely examines the control chip.
- When the Dreadnoks burst from the barn, they are followed by Destro and Baroness, who are driving an A.W.E. Striker. The A.W.E. Striker is changed to a Stinger thereafter.
- At the end of the episode, Wild Bill climbs up to the top of Joe HQ while wearing his civilian clothing. In the next shot he is wearing his blue and orange fatigues.
Continuity Errors[]
- When they approach the alleged Cobra ranch, Lady Jaye explains that the big antenna dishes they are passing are a solar power station. Then she states that if they fell into the wrong hands the antennas could be used to fry a city. Cobra could target the station instead of the dude ranch.
Quotes[]
"Great. That was the only door, shell-brain."
"I'll make another."
[blasts out wall]
"Door."
--Alpine and Bazooka discussing how to escape from the Cobra installation.
"That Texas tease ... "Call me Mary Belle"... Jezebel's more like it"
-- Lady Jaye
"You know, I think those bums set us up!"
-- Alpine, after he and Bazooka are attacked by a bull and he spots the ranch-hands (actually the Dreadnoks in disguise) ride away laughing their heads off.
Miscellaneous Trivia[]
- As the Joes move in to rescue their teammates at the Cobra data center, Scarlett is driving the Wolverine, followed by Cover Girl on a RAM cycle.
- At the dude ranch, Wild Bill introduces himself as "Bill Austin" and Lady Jaye as his sister "Jane," possibly referring to author Jane Austen.
- Insults used in this episode:
- "Shell-brain" Alpine to Bazooka
- "Texas tease" Lady Jaye about Mary Belle (The Baroness)
- "Jezebel" Lady Jaye about Mary Belle (The Baroness)
- "Mean meat" Bazooka about a bull
- "Fools" Cobra Commander to Destro, Zartan, and the Dreadnoks
Real World References[]
- Cobra Commander destroys the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco.
- The Commander also mentions NASA having developed the solar power satellite.
- The family's name, Joad, is also used in John Steinbeck's The Grapes of Wrath.
